Air Force pre-1979 USAF PILOT HELMET w/OXYGEN MASK & flightline CREW HEADSET

Description

Up for auction is an old Air Force helmet with oxygen mask.  Also comes with flightline headset .  Helmet has a retractable built in clear visor and a second shade visor that you can let down to block sun when the pilot needed it.  Both visors are in good shape.  This equipment belonged to my friend Sgt. Crabtree and it has his stamped name sticker on it and a date sticker on the mask that says Due May 25th 1979, see my pictures. This helmet was used hard, scratched up, has stains, been beat, banged, and thrown around, and has been in storage for a long time.  The inside of the helmet is falling apart and the glue that holds the padding in has dried up and let go.  I have a large ziplock bag full of the padding, see the pictures.  There is some damage to the earpieces and speakers, they are hanging loose but still wired up.  There is also some corrosion inside from age.  Selling as is with no returns so please see all the pictures.
The helmet could be restored. I ill be also listing some other items he kept and is now wanting to part with.
