PORTUGAL PORTUGUESE AIR FORCE RADAR / NAVIGATOR'S WING IN ENAMEL & GILT BRASS

Description

This is an extremely nice Portuguese Air Force Navigator or Radarman's wing with a globe or radar screen in the center. The wing in gilt brass, with an extremely well-done enameled globe. This is a much less often seen wing, and is of superb construction and detail, with more detail than usual, perfect enamel and brilliant gilt on the front. It is in superb condition, and is originally from the collection of noted author and collector Pete Prichard, who at the time of his passing was working towards a book on flight insignia. This is from his exceptional collection of wings of Portugal. The badge is pin-back, excellent and detailed. It measures 2 3/4 inches wide. This is an extremely scarce flight badge.
